Playful Piplup

As requested by a close friend of mine, I have drawn her sinnoh's water type starter pokemon - Pochama, also know as Piplup!

This one was a nice challenge for me. After being recommended adobe illustrator's pen tool, I made an effort to draw Piplup using the pen tool in a program I was unfamiliar with. After much frustration with the pen tool, the practice finally paid off. The pen tool is really useful, but I do prefer my traditional drawing styles. However with my next piece I will most likely start my art in illustrator with a paint brush, as the brush in illustrator automatically creates smooth edges unlike in photoshop.

Hope you like this piece of pokemon artwork! It's definitely a newer style of art for me, leaning closer to the style I had previously applied in my panda artwork.
